Discover how not to follow blindly your blind brain. The brain can not see. Using the information coming from the different sensory inputs, THE BRAIN ONLY PREDICTS what is happening outside the skull. It has never seen directly the outside world. It only interprets the images it receives from the eyes, then it responds. (It can even be deceived by the magic of illusion.)
We still have that same old primitive brain, model 160,000 years ago, that has these characteristics:
1.It is a fortune teller.
2.It is a mind reader.
3.It is a non-stop self critique.
4.It is a good soap-opera script writer.
5.It is very, very good in catastrophizing.
The perfect storm that gives us our worsening health in the modern digital era is:
Chronic Stress + Easy Accessibility to Junk Food (That’s really a bad combination!)
The dark thoughts in the mind are not you but are false messages from the brain. And because you are not your brain, you don’t have to listen to them. Manage your brain. Manage your stress.

About meditation…
One of the things that transcendental meditation have thought me is self-awareness – knowing that I am different from my thoughts, that I am not my thoughts. In meditation, I have learned to watch my thoughts without engaging.
Anyway…
“There are about 20,000 to 60,000 thoughts a day and more than half are wrong.”
When conflict arises, please remember this:
The real problem of the world today is the arrogance of people being intelligent and being right, and the lack of humility of accepting that our brain, in a lot of times, is primitive, stupid and wrong.
We need good mothers to nurture our brains and prepare ourselves on how we see the world.
