Acceptance is The Initial Key to Lighten Your Burden

I texted a letter responding to my friend, a dedicated physician in the Philippines who had been treating Covid-19 infections everyday. She recently opened up to me that a lot of times, she finds herself crying and  wanted to give up treating her sick patients.

Learning recently that another physician (Helen) from our batch died from Covid was so devastating to her:

Here is my text to her:

“Dear friend,

The fight is worth all the ounce of it! I learned a lot from the Covid pandemic and the horror it has given us. I cried a lot from it, too! It was an eye opener for me about the real situation of our health as a nation, our healthcare platform and the politics behind them. You can not rely on our healthcare system. I lost my innocence.

When it comes to Helen, I really don’t know if she took care of herself well. I did not know her metabolic condition. Just like what you are feeling now, I am very much saddened by her death. It hurts. 😞

I look at emotions very seriously. Everything will pass away, even the earth, stars and the universe. Anything that you are “attached to” will give you pain because everything will pass away, even your family and friends.

Acceptance is the initial key to lighten your burden. You fight hard but accept the reality of life.

May peace be in your heart, BFF!  ❤️

Don’t let anything disturb your inner peace.  🙏🏽

From,
Rene
