Remember the pre-google era when your parents were the main sources of information? Nowadays, the source of information is in the hands of the children, the digital technology with the easiest access, 24-hours a day. How do you expect a regular young Dad to compete with the bulk of information that technology could offer to his child?
We, the Dads, try to be the best Dad that we could be at this digital Information Age. It’s a new experience. It’s a new adaptation. We can not beat information technology. But we can guide our children how to manage their own emotions, how to develop their emotional intelligence that technology can not teach. Emotional intelligence leads to successful and happy relationships. We are all interconnected.
We can not be a “google” for our children, but google doesn’t change diapers. We will always be there and care for our children. We are not perfect, but we always try to do what is best for them.
Happy Father’s Day!
